Save yourself the traffic jams on the highway and the stress of looking for a parking space: you can easily travel to Velden am Wörthersee by public transport.

With the opening of the Koralm Railway in 2025, you will be able to cover the distance much faster in future: from Graz, it will take you to Lake Wörthersee in around 45 minutes, while the journey time from Vienna will be reduced to around 2 hours and 45 minutes.

Tip: Make sure you reserve your seats for bus and train journeys in advance online or at the ticket counter so that nothing can go wrong here either.
Apps and online booking tools help you to find the best connections and if you book early enough (e.g. the “economy rail“) will get to Velden very cheaply.
